applanchian crayfish . Maryland

I went to the cummingham falls state park to see Applanchian mountian crayfish



cunningham state park

This is the creek that people go trout fishing



























































It was so hot     I was very happy to see the creek in the forest











 


 


























There is lot of little crayfishs in the red area because it is shallow with no currents
The yellow area is where the big full grown crayfishs lives it is deep with currents
and more food to hunt. 





























I found a molted shell of the crayfish.


































 








I'm looking for crayfish in this pool .  Maybe i'll find some medium size crayfish

and finally found a live small one.  It was very srong for it's size

Just for 10minute ... crayfishing 

male orange clarkii 9 , 17

This is my male Orange clarkii. I got him last week and he is very healthy.  
I give him piece of meat and sinking pellets every day.

         he is about 2inch from eye to the tail. 

                                  this is his 30gallon tank

                                          he try to scare me away when i get close
